It is for this reason that you must make an immediate impression! Have a look at our top three C.V. tips to find out how you could improve your C.V.

1. Keep it Concise & Honest

C.V. TipsEmployers and Recruiters usually receive multiple application for every position they are working on. This means that they have masses of C.V.'s to look over everyday. For this reason, make sure your C.V. is concise and to the point. Make sure it is no more than three sides of A4 paper in length. Honesty is also essential as it is very easy to spot an error or inconsistency and once this happens it can not only be embarrassing, but the end of your chance to impress.

2. Tailor your C.V. to the Position

Make sure you amend your C.V. to make it relevant and suitable for each position you are applying for. Spend time researching both the company and the job for which you are applying. Link your experiences to the requirements outlined in the job description. This may sound simple but it is very effective.

3. Ensure it's Free of Mistakes

One of the most common and costly mistakes made by candidates is that they don't spend time checking their C.V. for mistakes. The majority of these mistakes can be highlighted simply by using your computer's spell-checker. Another effective method is to ask a family member or friend to review your C.V. and listen to their feedback.
